Design and build
This site was designed and built in Calgary by Meridian15, a studio that works with independent alcohol brands. The whisky, the words, and the bottle and distillery photography belong to Highwood Distillers.
Type
The text is set in Cardo, a serif drawn for scholarly work, and the small labels in DM Mono. The italic you see in the headlines is Cardo's own.
Under the hood
The pages are plain HTML generated with Eleventy and served by Netlify. The bottle shop is a separate Shopify storefront with its own terms. The age check and the little we collect are described on the privacy page.
